
Governance Specialist
This Governance Specialist role will be an ideal next step in your career if you are looking for an opportunity to work for different distribution channels within AIG related to the SME segment and work within a broad Governance spectrum.
The Portfolio Solutions Governance team helps the business on all Governance related topics. We are supporting on different projects and processes from a Governance perspective. Furthermore, the goal is to set up and maintain a Governance Framework for our Portfolio Solutions team and ensure that the department operate effectively, ethically and in compliance with relevant laws, regulations and AIG policies. We shape and implement governance structures and monitor and audit on these structures. Our DUA’s are an important distribution channel within our department which requires monitoring on the outsourced activities as well as playing an important role within the relationship with our DUA partners, acting as a bridge between AIG and our DUA partners, ensuring a strong and compliant relationship.
How you will create an impact
- You are the go-to person for our Portfolio Solutions colleagues, our DUA’s and external partners that our working with our department when it comes to Governance related topics.
- This role will focus on developing and maintaining our Portfolio Solutions Governance Framework, through continuously evaluation our processes, policies and framework to ensure adherence to laws, regulations and AIG policies.
- A key aspect of this role is coordination the onboarding process for new DUA’s or other external partners of our department.
- You will be responsible for contract management and audits. Drafting, managing and reporting on all DUA agreements and the agreements with our external partners. Monitoring the way we work within Portfolio Solutions, as well as making sure our DUA’s work within our Governance Framework, though data based audits.
- Stakeholder management is an important part of the job. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including our DUA partners and internal teams, such as Legal and Compliance.
- Another key aspect of the role is regulatory reporting. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting obligations.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Experience within an insurer, especially with DUA’s, is preferred; however, you are welcome to apply if you have other relevant professional experience.
- Strong communication, analytical and relationship building skills, along with knowledge of insurance regulations and governance principles. Experience with data analysis and a certification ‘Gevolmachtigd Agent’ is an asset.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Customer and Sales orientated behaviors: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable.
