Data Integration Engineer

What will you be doing?
You will be working as a Data Engineer on our Operational Data Hub (ODH). Currently, we are using a NoSQL database, but we plan to migrate to a technology designed to facilitate relational ELT processes. You will be responsible for managing the existing NoSQL environment. This includes ensuring its smooth operation, optimizing performance, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise. You will be involved in the development of the new relational-focused environment. Your focus will be on the design and development of dataflows. You will be responsible for translating business needs into data transformations. Furthermore, you will:
- Design and develop interfaces/services (REST /SOAP/FTP)
- Creating data models (JSON Schema, XSD);
- Creating transformations between data formats;
- Manage ODH dataflows (L3 support);
- Prepare technical documentation.

To be successful in this role we are looking for a colleague who is self-motivated and accountable for your work. Furthermore, it is important to collaborate effectively with your team members. At last, you recognize yourself in the criteria below.
- You have 2 years of relevant experience as an integration specialist/ engineer or similar;
- You have experience with Azure Integration Services or Azure Functions;
- You’re fluent in English both spoken and written;
- Knowledge of one of the languages: Java, C#, Python, PowerShell or JavaScript;
- Knowledge of relational ELT dataflows and NoSQL databases;
- Understanding of data structures like 3NF and denormalisation;
- Understanding of functional and object-oriented programming;
- Experience with CI/CD processes and an Agile WoW.
